About the Author..yes, about me :-)

Halllloooooo! First and foremost, let me introduce myself. I am Krystle Angelique Santiago. I am a Filipino, but currently staying in Malaysia while pursuing my Postdoctorate in Monash University. My field of expertise is Applied Microbiology. Just got my PhD last 24th of June 2020. wohoo!!

So what’s this blog about? I created this site to help anyone to understand some science facts but in an easy way. Through cartoons. πŸ™‚ I’ve always wanted to be a cartoonist (ahmm, well.. my skills are still a work-in-progress. :-)). But then, I chose science over art because I initially thought there is no money in arts (okay, I was young then and didn’t know what real business is about). So I agreed with my family that I will pursue microbiology.

So here I am, Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science and soon Doctor of Philosophy holder in Microbiology. Well, that’s life. They say things happen for a reason. And I believe it is true. Had I not pursued science, I won’t be able to share some scientific facts with you =D. And besides, merging arts and science isn’t a bad idea.

All I can say is… I love what I am doing and I will keep working on this, not just for myself, but for others as well. I sometimes think I was born to do this. πŸ™‚

This is me during lockdown. My eyes seem so happy and my hair.. ugh.. my hair. πŸ˜€

Have a great day everyone! Let’s enjoy learning Science! (and yes, keep drawing.. no matter what.. be it stick figures, lines, anything. You are definitely TALENTED.)
